The 10th Annual Bad Little Trail Run! This event has now been a yearly collaboration between Downeast Coastal Conservancy and Bold Coast Runners for a decade! In celebration of this milestone, Bold Coast Runners have planned a special route for the race. Beginning at the traditional location of the Whitneyville Sunrise Trail Parking Lot, the route will begin on the Downeast Sunrise Trail before quickly ducking onto the Machias River Preserve Homestead Trail. After slightly over a mile, runners will cross the Sunrise Trail onto the Heritage Trail for a few miles of forest and riverfront running before reaching the water station, which is also the location of the relay exchange (for those doing the relay). From here, runners will cover ground on the Downeast Sunrise Trail and then turn onto the trails of Middle River Park, where, after a few more miles, they will finish the race.

The entire race is eight miles, with an option for a relay. The first leg of the relay is 4.8 miles, and the second 3.2. Once everyone has completed the race,  a brief award ceremony will be held. The end of the race lines up with the planned Sunrise Trail Coalition celebration being held at Middle River Park on the same day. So, along with a post-race barbecue, participants can also enjoy live music and games.
