The workshop will focus on property monitoring and other stewardship related volunteer opportunities. We will spend some time inside discussing why we monitor, what is involved in a monitoring visit, and other types of stewardship work we do. Following the discussion, we’ll head out to the Machias River Preserve for a more practical discussion about monitoring and stewardship and go through a monitoring visit in the field.

If you have an interest in helping DCC monitor one of our many preserves, if you already volunteer to monitor but would like a refresher, or if you are interested in volunteering in other ways, please feel free to join us! There is no cost and we will even provide some snacks and coffee!
