Join Master Naturalist Grace Bartlett for an exploration of vernal pools and the creatures therein. We’ll look for egg masses of pool-breeding amphibians, like wood frogs and salamanders. Wear water-proof boots and dress for the weather. Meet at Vining Lake Community Preserve. Time TBD.

Turn west onto the Vining Lake Road off of Route 191 (16.3 miles from the intersection of Route 191 and Route 1 in East Machias, or 17.8 miles from the intersection of Route 191 and Route 1 in Baring). Continue 0.4 mile; stay left at the Y in the road to the parking lot.
