The Island Soundscape Project, in partnership with the Maine Coast Heritage Trust and the Downeast Coastal Conservancy, is hosting a series of guided walks focused on helping visitors to connect with place through listening. The primary guide is Dr. Karen Beeftink, Associate Professor of Outdoor Recreation and Tourism at the University of Maine at Machias.

The third soundwalk will take place at Pigeon Hill preserve. This property also features two contrasting sites for listening: one along the shoreline, and the other at the top of Pigeon Hill. Atop Pigeon Hill participants will also be able to appreciate the beautiful sunset view.

All walks are free and open to the public. Participants are welcome to join a single walk or all three in the series.

Happening Saturday November 15th, starting at the Pigeon Hill Preserve trailhead at 2pm.
