Join us for a nighttime Jack-o-lantern hike! The Mowry Beach Boardwalk Trail will be lined with Jack-o-lanterns with help from the Lubec Community Outreach Center afterschool students.

The trail will begin behind the Lubec Elementary school and then proceed along the boardwalk to Mowry beach. Bring your flashlights and enjoy this beautiful night-time hike! In addition to the glow of the pumpkins, there will be a campfire and s’mores on the beach. The Lubec Memorial Library will be on the beach reading a spooky campfire story starting at 6:30pm. This event is perfect for all ages!

Want in on the fun? Community members are invited to decorate jack-o-lanterns for the event and help us light up the trail! Be creative and make them fun, scary, or silly!

Jack-o-lanterns must be carved with light inside for illumination. You must drop off your pumpkin at the LCOC Tuesday, October 25th between 3pm-5pm. All pumpkins submitted will be available for pick up the day after the event. Any pumpkins left behind will be donated to local animals for feed on Sunday.
