One of the many great ways to experience summertime in Maine is from the seat of a canoe out on the water and whether you’re a beginner or looking to brush up on best practices, you can join us for this fun afternoon on the lake!

Join Karen Beeftink, DCC Board Member and Registered Maine Guide and Cathy Lookabaugh, DCC’s Outreach Director for an Intro to Canoeing Workshop at Vining Lake Community Preserve. The workshop will focus on basic canoe strokes and paddle safety to help get you started. Participants will have the opportunity to practice by paddling around the 26-acre lake.

This workshop is FREE, but registration is required. Limited Space. Canoes, paddles and PFD will be provided to registered participants thanks to UMM! Event now full – email cathy@downeastcoastalconservancy.org to be placed on the waitlist.
