Calling all Downeast youth in grades K-4! Join us for a February Vacation Winter Mini Camp! Each day will be full of outdoor activities, games, and exciting hands on learning opportunities. Registration is now active but space is limited!
Program dates: Tuesday, February 22nd to Thursday Feb 24th, 2022
Activities include:
• Forest Ecology
• Wildlife tracking
• Winter Crafts
• Games
• Storytime
• Snow forts and sledding
Location/Time: The program is held at Middle River Park, Machias and runs Tuesday February 22nd through Thursday February 24th. Drop off is from 8-8:30am- Pick up is from 12-12:30pm each day.
Camp is free! But registration is required. Signups will be limited to the first 10 participants that register (Ages 5-10). Registration for camp is full! Please sign up for the waitlist here: https://forms.gle/A3jKdtpoB5DKaaydA.
Participants should dress warmly and plan to be outdoors each day for the entire time period. A “What to Bring” list will be provided.

Camp Mask and Social Distance Policy
DCC is focused on providing a safe, educational and fun environment for youth participating in their youth camps. In keeping with CDC guidelines, DCC has the following policy regarding mask wearing and social distancing: All campers and staff shall maintain at least 3 feet between each other while outdoors. If this distance cannot be achieved, masks shall be worn by campers and staff regardless of vaccination status.
Weather Policy
DCC will cancel camp when weather presents an unsafe condition for participants. Participants will be notified the evening prior. Due to the unpredictability of the weather, DCC reserves the right to cancel camp at any point when it is deemed unsafe. Participants will be notified of cancellations via the contact info provided at registration.
