Eclipse Watch Party

April 8 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for an Eclipse Watch Party! Although we are not in the path of totality, we’ll still be able to see a unique natural event and experience the eclipse as the moon passes in front of the sun.

If the weather is clear, we should be able to see the partial eclipse with peak coverage at 3:34pm. This is the deepest point of the eclipse, with the sun at its most hidden. We’ll have some eclipse glasses (while supplies last). Bring your own if you have a pair!

Philip Pinto, Emeritus Professor of Astronomy, will be joining us for the afternoon to answer your eclipse related questions and will be bringing a telescope to create a projection of the sun for group viewing. At 3pm, we will read aloud the children’s book: A Few Beautiful Minutes and discover each stage of a solar eclipse.
