Join DCC’s stewardship staff as they demonstrate how to hinge cut hardwood trees at one of DCC’s recorded deer wintering areas. Doing so will provide both food and shelter for deer in the cold Maine winters. Please register in advance here.

What to Bring: Volunteers should bring work gloves, water, and a snack. DCC will provide all necessary equipment, but feel free to bring a hand saw if you have one! A map and directions will be provided to volunteers following registration.

Date is subject to change due to weather conditions. If adverse weather conditions are predicted to occur during a volunteer day, an email notice will be provided with the rescheduled date no later than one day prior to the activity.
