The staff and board of Downeast Coastal Conservancy invites our members to attend the 2020 annual members meeting on Sunday August 2, 2020 at the Machias River Preserve in Machias.

After careful consideration of the status of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided that DCC will host a limited annual members meeting. Steps will be taken to ensure that we are in compliance with current regulations and guidance regarding gatherings and social distancing. During these challenging times, the safety and welfare of our members and staff must remain our highest priority. While we must have an annual meeting to comply with our bylaws and to honor our commitment to keep DCC as a member driven organization, we are keeping this year’s meeting to essential business, such as election of new board members.

Although there will be no potluck or entertainment this year, your attendance at the annual meeting is important to us. There will be an opportunity to meet staff, including our new Membership and Outreach Director, Cathy Lookabaugh. I will also be around for discussion with members and look forward to hearing your suggestions, discussing new projects and for general chat regarding the important work of DCC.

The annual meeting will take place outdoors at the picnic area of DCC’s Middle River Preserve. There will be ample parking and seating with social distancing in mind. For the health and welfare of all we ask that facemasks be worn while attending the meeting.
