Pigeon Hill’s Nearly Full Moon Hike
August 31, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
RESCHEDULED TO MONDAY AUGUST 31st!
Join us for a spectacular evening hike at Pigeon Hill Preserve in Steuben. We’ll hike up to the summit, watch the sunset to the west, then just minutes later turn to watch the nearly full the moon rise over the water to the east. Pack a picnic dinner if you like and meet new friends by the light of the full moon. Please refrain from bringing glass containers on the hike. Hikers should also be prepared with flashlights for their hike down the hill. Dress for the weather, wear appropriate footwear and don’t forget the bug repellent.
Pigeon Hill is the highest coastal property in Washington County with a summit elevation of 317ft. The 1.2 mile trail system consists of a figure-eight loop that allows hikers to reach the summit and return to the parking area without retracing their steps.
The Pigeon Hill Preserve parking area is located 4.5 miles south of Route 1 on Pigeon Hill Road in Steuben.
This event is full. We hope you will join us for another event this year.
