Join fellow photographers for a morning at Ingersoll Point Preserve with Maine Master Naturalist and DCC Board Member Paul Powers. Photo enthusiasts of all levels are welcome and we will explore different types of nature photography from macro to landscape. We will also discuss exposure fundamentals, camera techniques and mechanics. Advance camera gear is not essential but it is recommended to bring a camera with manual controls and a tripod.

Paul grew up in Pennsylvania and has always been captivated by nature and wildlife. He has been a wildlife photographer for the past 20 years which has taken him to many places and allowed him to become involved in many environmental projects. Paul uses his photography as an educational tool and donates many of his works to centers and institutions to promote preservation of our wildlife and raise funds for rehabilitation. He has also furthered his education by becoming certified as an Environmental Educator and a Maine Master Naturalist. Paul now resides in Maine with his wife and three dogs and travels the state working with organizations to promote living in harmony with our wildlife.

Directions: From U.S. Route 1, turn South onto ME-187/Indian River Road at Wild Blueberry Land. In 2 miles, turn right on Wescogus Road. Continue about 1.5 miles and turn left on East Side Road. Follow East Side Road about 6 miles and turn right onto Mooseneck Road. Continue on Mooseneck Road to the Union Church, which will be on the left in about 1 mile. Trailhead and parking is in the back of the Union Church parking lot. Look for the Ingersoll Point Preserve sign.
