Tai Chi Classes Offered At Middle River Park….

Downeast Coastal Conservancy and Samantha Williams, from Bold Coast Yoga, are pleased to offer two Tai Chi classes in Middle River Park on Mondays, August 20 and 27 from 4:30-5:15 pm.  The practice of Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition, with roots in the martial arts, which is often practiced today for its many health benefits.  Movements are slow and gentle, enhancing balance and a sense of well-being.  Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that will allow for movement, sneakers or flat-soled shoes, and to bring water.  A donation of $5-10 is suggested.  Williams is a board certified Tai Chi for Health instructor, as well as the owner of Bold Coast Yoga School.  She has been offering local classes since 2011.  In case of inclement weather, class will be held at the same time at Machias Marketplace.
