Wildflower Walk

June 10, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Have you ever found a wildflower and wondered what it is? On Saturday, June 10th, Kris and Allison Paprocki will lead a nature walk to teach basic wildflower identification. Participants will learn a few plant family characteristics that will help them make connections and understand those plants within the bigger picture. The walk will be on a forest trail beside Vining Lake in Cooper, a mile-and-half path that passes over tree roots and uneven ground. All levels of experience are welcome, but the walk will be most helpful to beginners. If you have a wildflower field guide, please bring it.

Kris Paprocki is an itinerant elementary music teacher at three Washington County schools and a graduate of the Maine Master Naturalist Program. In his spare time he enjoys learning about and photographing the native plants of Maine.

Allison Paprocki teaches English Language Arts at MMHS. She graduated from the Maine Master Naturalist program and enjoys hiking, reading, and gardening.
